Norcold 50808 / 637360 Cooling Unit Temperature Monitor Kit

Norcold 50808 is a service-catalog reference for Norcold 637360, the cooling-unit temperature-monitor control kit used with specified 1210 and 2118-series absorption refrigerators. Norcold's 2118 factory parts list identifies 637360 as the cooling-unit temperature-monitor control kit for both dispenser and non-dispenser configurations.

Function and service parts

The temperature-monitor control uses a sensor at the cooling-unit boiler to detect abnormal operating temperatures. If a dangerous overtemperature condition is detected, the control is designed to disable the heat sources. This is a safety-related component, not a refrigerator compartment thermostat or front display board.

Critical compatibility and safety check

Do not bypass, defeat or substitute this monitor to keep a refrigerator running. For 1210-series refrigerators, confirm the complete model, serial number and applicable Norcold recall/service campaign status before ordering; this service part is not a substitute for required recall work. Have the cooling system and the cause of any high-temperature fault assessed by a qualified refrigerator technician, following the manufacturer's procedures.
