Description
The Guardian anchor uses an unanodized alloy body without a fluke-angle mechanism. This size weighs 4 lb; chain and shackle must be supplied separately.
Boat-length recommendations assume average windage and proportions, 30 knots of wind, average bottom conditions and moderate protection from open seas. For storms, the manufacturer recommends an anchor one or two sizes larger. Use three-strand nylon rope and at least 6 ft of chain for every 25 ft of water depth, with a minimum 5:1 scope.
Manufacturer Warranty
Guardian anchors have a One Year Parts Replacement Warranty for parts that bend or suffer damage during the first year of ownership. Shipping and handling are the customer’s responsibility. Replacement parts ship by US Postal Service unless otherwise requested; after the first year, parts are available at a nominal cost.
