Description
Brittle wires in the original short harness can flex with engine vibration, causing shorts or lost contact on specified Chrysler, Dodge and Ram vehicles. The result may be a disabled variable intake manifold, power loss or motor damage, accompanied by the engine warning light and codes P1004, P2008, P2016 or P2017. Chrysler's service bulletin calls for lengthening that harness. This OE FIX kit supplies a new IMRC motor, a preassembled extended harness and an OE-style connector. It also includes an O-ring seal, retainer zip tie, mounting stud and bolt for the extended harness retainer. An experienced technician should allow approximately two to three hours for the repair.
