Performance and construction

This white 15K variant is specified for 15,000 BTU/h cooling. Dometic's installation table lists 12.8 A rated compressor current, which is a compressor specification, not the unit's total maximum operating draw. The white rooftop shroud suits RVs with lighter exterior finishes. FreshJet 5 uses a reinforced steel base and coated evaporator coils designed for road service and cooling durability.

What comes with this rooftop unit

Dometic lists one rooftop air conditioner and its warranty card as the package scope. Indoor air-distribution box, wall thermostat, controller and return-air grille are not preinstalled or included with this mechanical rooftop unit. A non-ducted system needs an approved air-distribution box; a ducted installation needs a matched return-air grille and control kit.

Installation and compatibility

Dometic positions FreshJet 5 as the low-profile successor to its Penguin II family, but rooftop mechanical fit does not confirm control-system or wiring interchangeability. Confirm roof opening, available clearance, electrical protection, existing thermostat and controller, as well as R32-system accessory requirements. Use the exact model and the current Dometic installation manual. Service must be performed by appropriately qualified personnel.

Warranty

The product is covered by the applicable Dometic manufacturer limited-warranty terms. Check the supplied warranty card and Dometic's current warranty documents for coverage duration, eligibility and the claim procedure; terms may differ from older catalog descriptions.
