Description
Carefree 901040 replaces the hand-tightened locking knobs on older Carefree patio-awning arms. The manufacturer's hardware catalog specifies this pair for Carefree patio awnings built before 1996, making the production year and original arm design important when selecting a replacement.

Confirm the correct knob
Carefree identifies 901022 as a different two-knob kit with clamps for certain Spirit, Fiesta, Simplicity and Pioneer awnings from 1997 onward. Do not substitute the newer assembly solely because both products are locking knobs. Compare the original knob, arm hardware and model-year information before ordering.
