Electrical and freeze-protection setup
Camco's 22910 is the 12-foot, thermostat-controlled -20 °F hose, powered from a 120V AC, GFCI-protected outdoor outlet via its 6-foot power lead. The included male hose adapter allows the water supply to attach at either end, depending on the outlet location. The thermostat is in the pigtail opposite the power cord: expose that pigtail to the coldest outdoor air so the heater is not delayed by a warmer sheltered location.
Unplug the hose before connecting or disconnecting water fittings, check for leaks before restoring power, and keep it uncoiled while in use. Do not use extension cords, cut or splice the hose, or leave it pressurized unattended. The hose's -20 °F rating does not protect an exposed campground spigot or the RV city-water connection; insulate those separately according to the manufacturer's instructions, using noncombustible materials. Drain and unplug the hose when storing.
