Description
The Softride coil is preset to solid height for stress relief. Ground-flat ends improve seating and force transfer.
Construction and application
- Softride processing uses high-tensile chrome-silicon wire and high-velocity hard-steel-pellet shot peening to compress the surface and increase tensile strength.
- Presetting fully compresses the spring until its coils touch at solid height to relieve stress and prevent sag. Each spring undergoes cycle testing.
- Closed ends are ground flat, perpendicular to the spring axis, to distribute force evenly and simplify assembly. The process controls spring height and rate for off-road response and consistent handling.

Additional product details
High-tensile chrome-silicon wire gains surface strength through compression from steel-pellet shot peening. Presetting to solid height relieves stress and controls sag, and the coil is cycle-tested. Closed ends ground flat across the axis support even seating and force transfer.
