Description
Black powder coating covers the steel coil. Presetting and cycle testing complete the spring manufacturing process.
Construction and application
- Softride processing uses high-tensile chrome-silicon wire and high-velocity hard-steel-pellet shot peening to compress the surface and increase tensile strength.
- Presetting fully compresses the spring until its coils touch at solid height to relieve stress and prevent sag. Each spring undergoes cycle testing.
- Closed ends are ground flat, perpendicular to the spring axis, to distribute force evenly and simplify assembly. The process controls spring height and rate for off-road response and consistent handling.

Additional product details
Flat spring seats spread force evenly: the closed ends are ground at right angles to the spring axis. The material is high-tensile chrome-silicon. Steel pellets shot-peen its surface, adding compression and strength. Presetting brings the coil to solid height to manage sag and stress; cycle testing is also performed.
