Red Line 80312 Assembly Lubricating Compound

The oil-soluble lubricant protects wear surfaces until normal oil supply arrives. It mixes with engine oil without plugging filters after startup.

Product details

This four-ounce assembly lubricant can be applied to cams, followers, pistons, bearings and bolt threads to prevent metal contact before adequate oil arrives. Use sparingly on pistons and bearings; do not use it on exhaust or other high-temperature bolts that need anti-seize. Its rust and corrosion inhibition permits long storage. It offers three times the film strength of conventional black molybdenum-disulfide greases and is used by camshaft/drivetrain manufacturers and engine builders in Formula 1, GP2, Formula 3, NASCAR, NHRA and WR.
