A quart of Heavy ShockProof combines thick protective films with relatively low fluid friction. The synthetic oil is restricted to race-only transmissions and differentials.

ShockProof synthetic racing lubricants resist thinning under heat and maintain a protective layer between heavily loaded or shock-loaded gear teeth while limiting internal friction and power loss. Heavy pairs 75W250 protection with 75W90 fluid friction; Lightweight pairs 75W140 protection with SAE 30 motor-oil friction; SuperLight pairs 70W90 protection with ATF-like friction. The range has a 40 percent lower friction coefficient and 250 percent of conventional gear oils’ load capacity. Temperature reductions of 25 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit are common in circle-track, road and off-road racing. Heavy emphasizes durability with efficiency improvement; Lightweight and SuperLight favor additional efficiency when durability demands are lower. Competition transmissions and conventional, limited-slip or locker differentials are supported.
