Description
Thread the indicator into a 14- or 18-millimeter spark-plug hole to locate approximate top dead center without removing the heads. It whistles as the piston rises on compression, then goes quiet around TDC. That indication is useful during timing-chain checks or replacement, distributor fitting and cylinder leak-down work.
