HM Grade universal 48-state ceramic construction uses a stainless case, a heat shield and no air tube. Engineered and manufactured in America, the Federal converter meets EPA requirements. Ceramic and metallic substrates across the range use different cell densities and wall thicknesses for vehicle-specific requirements; this version has ceramic substrate.
