Dometic 38603 Atwood 24V AC Furnace Gas Valve, Side Outlet

Dometic/Atwood 38603 is a side-outlet furnace gas-valve assembly with a 24V AC operating coil. Atwood's furnace service-parts chart identifies this exact part number as a valve fitted with a 24VAC coil, not as a coil-only repair kit. The valve controls gas flow in the specified furnace configuration.

The manufacturer service-parts chart lists other gas valves for earlier model and voltage configurations. Match the existing valve's exact MPN, outlet arrangement, coil voltage, and complete furnace model/serial number. Part 38603 is not a universal 8900-series valve and should not be ordered as a bare replacement coil.

Safety: Gas-valve diagnosis, installation, combustion checks and propane leak testing must follow the applicable furnace manual and should be performed by a qualified RV gas technician. Do not bypass or alter furnace safety controls.
