Description
CURT 58980 adapts a CURT RV towing harness with a 4-way flat output to a 7-way RV blade socket at the front of a flat-towed vehicle. The connector is intended for mounting under the hood area or at a suitable front connection point, with some manual wiring or splicing required. It is a dinghy-towing electrical adapter, not a vehicle-specific plug-in taillight harness.
Included hardware and mounting
A mounting bracket and hardware are included, allowing flexible placement instead of a welded connector support. A spring-loaded socket cover helps keep debris out when disconnected, while slit loom protects the leads. No diodes are supplied. Plan for wiring work when connecting the adapter to the existing flat-tow harness.
