Locking and weather protection
A patented auto-latching system secures the cover on closing. Reengineered locking components are described as offering greater forced-entry resistance than GEN2. Revised EPDM perimeter seals and tight-fitting clamps help prevent seepage between the cover and bed rails. A dual-action tailgate seal is 13% longer, and allows factory tailgate operation regardless of cover position. Inside-rail clamps require no drilling, with an estimated one-hour installation.
