Description
Protecting a trailer from road spray is different from fitting ordinary wheel-well splash guards. ROCKSTAR H1040049 spans the rear of the 2019-on Ram heavy-duty truck as a removable, full-width towing flap. It uses wide composite-rubber panels to help deflect grit and slush from a trailer or load behind the pickup.
This configuration cannot be used with the Ram deployable bed step unless the step is removed. The manufacturer uses a urethane diamond-plate frame and vehicle-specific anti-sailing brackets, with rubber rated to remain flexible at low temperatures. Maintain adequate ground clearance with the trailer loaded and check for interference with any nonfactory bumper or receiver.
