CURT specifies 160 ft-lb installation torque for this model. The ball-mount platform must be at least 3/8 inch thick, with a mounting hole no more than 1/16 inch wider than the shank. A zinc-plated hex nut and helical lock washer are included. Use the lowest-rated component's capacity and match the trailer coupler exactly.
