Red Line 30204 Automatic Transmission Lubricant

The fluid is intended where Dexron II, Dexron III or Mercon is recommended. It serves automatic and manual transmissions and transaxles.

Product details

High-temperature synthetic ATF provides GL4 gear-oil protection with higher viscosity at hot operating temperatures. It permits operation up to 70 degrees Fahrenheit hotter while supporting shift quality and torque-converter efficiency. Evaporation is described as twice as good as Red Line Synthetic ATF and five times better than petroleum ATF, reducing frothing from the filler tube. Balanced friction supports smooth, consistent shifts and extended drains; thermal stability reduces valve and clutch varnishing. It suits heavily loaded vehicles and automatic transaxles needing final-drive extreme-pressure protection. It can replace ATF in manual transmissions, improving gear protection over petroleum ATF, although Red Line MTL offers better wear protection and low-temperature shifting in most such manuals. Compatibility is applications recommending Dexron III, Dexron II or Mercon.
