Product details
Grade 8 header bolt is permanently assembled with two special washers. At 28+ foot-pounds of torque, hardened external teeth grip beneath the bolt head and against the header. Matching cams between the washers wedge-lock against loosening rotation; vibration increases the tension rather than loosening the bolt. The mechanism uses tension instead of friction, and oil assists the wedge effect. No small clips or retainers are needed. The bolt releases with a normal wrench, can be lubricated and reused when changing headers. Universal hex-head steel header bolt, black oxide finish, three-eighths-inch-16 threads and three-quarter-inch length.
