Description
Rust on a wheel hub face can prevent a brake rotor from sitting flush even when the replacement parts are correct. Performance Tool W80105 uses a drill-driven pad holder to remove buildup from the hub and around the wheel studs before the rotor and wheel go back on.
The kit contains one holder with a quarter-inch shaft and five replaceable sanding pads. The pads fasten with a half-turn connection and are sized for studs up to half an inch. Keep drill speed at or below the manufacturer's 2,500 rpm recommendation, and clean away abrasive dust before reassembly.
