Description
CURT 81560 is a Grade 43 safety-latch clevis hook for 3/8-inch chain. The manufacturer specifies a 1-inch hook opening and a 7/16-inch clevis pin, with an 18,000 lb gross trailer weight capacity. A removable pin and cotter pin attach the forged-steel hook to a suitable chain, while the spring latch helps keep it connected during towing. Yellow-zinc plating protects against weather. Use appropriately rated chain and mounting points, and cross trailer safety chains beneath the coupler.
