Description
The MS 97210 set contains two steel exhaust gaskets with oval ports for the specified 2005 Saab 9-2X with a 2.5L engine. New smooth castings can sometimes seal without a gasket, but repeated heating and cooling, corrosion or removal may change the surfaces during service.
If a gasket has a fibre face opposite perforated steel, the fibre faces the cylinder head and the steel faces the manifold. The manifold can then expand and contract against metal without harming the fibre. Apply that direction only to gaskets with those two different faces.
