Description
Extang 94486 uses a heavy-duty canvas tarp and clamp-on installation for the 2017 Super Duty 6.75-foot-bed application. The locked tailgate provides security; the cover has no separate keyed lock.
Cover details
The canvas tarp folds for bed access and requires no assembly or drilling. Hold-Tite straps and snaps, WeatherTuff seals and MaxHinges form part of the design. The seals contact the bed perimeter to resist weather and dust. EZ-Lock clamps self-lock in position; cab clamps attach at the bed flanges without altering the caps. Construction includes 45-degree steel corner brackets, commercial-grade rails and I-beam-style bows.
Locking
The cover has no independent keyed lock. The manufacturer specifies that it can be secured via the vehicle’s tailgate lock.
