Description
The 7820 Performer-Link set supplies the chain and gears for a compatible Ford Windsor timing drive. A solid-bushing double-roller chain works with a three-keyway crank gear, providing the manufacturer’s listed 4-degree advance or retard settings.
The stated engine range includes 255,289,302 and 351W, up to 6500 RPM. Use straight-up timing with Edelbrock Performer-Plus or Performer-RPM camshafts. Check the installation-specific thrust plate and fuel-pump eccentric arrangement.

Installation Restrictions
For 1962–64 vehicles, replace the original spacer and thrust plate with Ford C90Z-6269-A. For 1965–1972-1/2 vehicles, retain the existing thrust plate. For 1972-1/2–1984 vehicles, replace the original two-piece eccentric with Ford M-6287-B302 one-piece eccentric and retain the thrust plate. Do not reinstall the original oil slinger.
