On early Dana 35 rear axles, the outer shaft seal helps contain axle lubricant near the wheel-end assembly. Crown 53000477 is the matching individual replacement.
It can be used on the left or right rear side of the listed early Jeep models. The axle designation and year range matter; this is not a universal Jeep axle seal.
