CURT 45280 — Class III 6-Inch-Drop Extended Ball Mount. A 14-1/4-inch hollow shank fits a 2-inch receiver; reversing provides 4 inches of rise. No ball included. CNC forming, robotic welding and mechanical descaling precede gloss-black corrosion, scratch and UV protection. Rated-limit applications on pickups/SUVs include utility, boat, camper, single-horse livestock and recreational trailers.
CURT 45280 installation and rating details: This Class 3 ball mount fits a 2-inch square receiver and uses a 14-1/4-inch hollow steel shank. It provides a 6-inch drop or 4-inch rise with a 1-inch trailer-ball hole. Capacity differs by orientation: 7,500 lb GTW / 750 lb TW with a 6-inch drop, but only 6,000 lb GTW / 600 lb TW when reversed for a 4-inch rise. Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component.
