Description
AMP Research 78255-01A is a PowerStep XTreme retracting step kit in the GM full-size truck application family. It differs from the standard PowerStep with a dual-motor design intended to keep the boards moving through snow, mud and debris.
Opening a door deploys the six-inch traction surface and integrated LED lights; closing it retracts the boards beneath the rocker panels. Some double- and regular-cab installations require trimming, and the fitting instructions call for drilling. Use the exact truck year, chassis generation and cab style when selecting this version, especially during GM model-year body-style transitions.
