Install the anchors in suitable ground and follow the Carefree instructions when adjusting strap tension. Tie-downs are supplemental restraints and do not make an extended awning safe in severe wind or storms. Retract the awning when weather conditions require it.

Before retracting the awning

Disconnect the ground-anchored straps and springs before rolling in the awning. If the awning has powered or automatic retraction, follow its operating instructions to prevent retraction while the restraints are connected. Carefree cautions in its restrained-awning accessory guidance that retracting with tie-downs attached can damage the awning.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0732/3785/6462/files/ImageServerAPI_7e34aa2f-bfcc-4bc8-8e3c-8975644c3b5f.jpg?v=1790472547
